Intro for: The Sorrow and the Laughter (Christensen, 2017); P.264
You decide this of dreams and visions:
I beheld a young to middle aged teenager, weeping in his mother’s apron.
When I understood the “ekphrasis” as Our Lord, Jesus Christ; the matter settled itself.
If only I were a painter, I would love to share that rendering. Just imagine this fellow raised in Jewry. Reminded almost constantly of recent past events and also growing-into the whole concept of his mortal life. Turning to the only mortal who might understand his current position.
Scriptural accounts of the measure of The Christ Child’s Maturation are very few, and historical accounts have become more embellished or concocted all of the time. Here I relate my account more so to the historical relevance, and personal interpretation.
